Rocks

4th class have been learning all about Rocks in Geography and Science. We learned that there are three groups of rocks: Igneous or fire rocks, Sedimentary or sitting rocks, and Metamorphic or changed rocks. Clare, Shyann, Rosie and Diana brought in their own rock collections, including volcanic rock, fossils and gemstones, to show us. Thanks very much girls!

Diversity Games, Athlone

Our Athletics Team travelled to the Diversity Games in Athlone today. Huge congratulations to our athletes from 4th class, who competed so brilliantly, and brought home medals! We are very proud of you. Well done.

Green Schools Art Competition: Travel Flag

We are working towards our Green Schools Travel Flag this year. Well done to all the girls in 4th class who entered the poster competition. We had to design a poster on the Travel theme, to encourage people to carpool, walk or scoot to school. Here are Ms Doyle's entries.

Attendance Awards

Congratulations to all the girls in 4th class who won prizes in the Attendance Awards presentation today.  Well done girls!

Christmas Candles

Ms Doyle's class worked with chalk pastels on black sugar paper, to create these Christmas candles.

Soccer

Congratulations to our 4th class Soccer Team, who competed in the recent FAI Futsal competition in Cavan Sports Complex. Well done girls!

Birds of Prey

We had a fascinating visit from a Heritage Council expert, Mr Ian Patterson. Ian introduced us to some of Ireland's birds of prey.
